St Thomas' Uniform

At St Thomas’ we believe school uniform teaches students to dress smartly and take pride in their appearance. Perhaps most importantly, a uniform means pupils don’t have to worry about peer pressure when it comes to their clothes. When everyone is dressed the same, worrying about what you look like isn’t so important.

Wearing uniform shows that you are part of our school community. It’s important to look smart, neat and tidy. If you look good you have a good attitude too!

The Halo Code

“At St Thomas’, we recognize that for many Black individuals, navigating workplace and school dress codes is a lived reality that often forces a choice between professional advancement and cultural identity.

We stand against the harmful narratives that label Afro-textured hair as ‘unprofessional’ or ‘unruly.’ By adopting the Halo Code, we protect the right of our staff and students to embrace their natural hair health and heritage with pride.
